May 3rd Today my boat partner was Peter Boyle, we had a super day with light winds from the North. Peter had a super fish of 7lbs and I had two fish of 2lbs and 31/4 lbs . Well done Peter |

| May 6th Thomas and myself took off to the southern end of the lake. I had a fish of 11/2 lbs and missed a few others, and Thomas had a fish of 2lbs and lost another fish. | |

May 8th Today I took a visiting UK angler Merlin Unwin of Merlin Books. This was his first visit to Sheelin in 18 years. Merlin caught 1 fish of 2lbs and lost another on dry mayfly patterns |

May 9th I got a few hours out today. The weather is still freezing, in a cold blow from the North I had a fine fish of 31/2lbs and missed a few others |

May 19th Lough Sheelin International Mr kieron thomas of wales with one of his 7 fish on final day which won him top rod and the coveted brown bowl.kieron was boated by mr gary mckiernan of loughsheelinguidingservices ,also in the boat was mr mark withyman of england who was top english rod 2 win gary top boatman of the competition final, well done all. |
