We are desperately looking for new sponsors willing to adopt a cat as the credit crunch deepens and many of our existing sponsors have been forced to withdraw funding. It is a particularly difficult time for all charities during the current recession but please spare a thought for these animals that rely so much on your kindness.

We look after many unwanted and abandoned cats every year, either as strays or given to us from owners no longer able to keep them for a wide variety of reasons. These reasons range from allergies, new babies, owners passing away and sadly all too often the novelty just wears off (kittens aren't cute and fluffy for long). Please take a moment to look at the five main things to consider before buying or adopting a cat. If you feel its not for you at this time then please consider sponsoring one of out cats instead.

Suffolk sponsor a cat is a self funding non profit making organisation formed to fund the care of some cats who are unable to be found new families perhaps due to long term medical needs or just plain old age and bad temper

We try to spend as much time as possible socialising the cats who all to often come to us with problems due to either cruelty or neglect. We allow them time and space to come around at their own pace; once they feel happy we know its time to find a new home, or in the case of the cats on these pages they decide they want to just stay here where they are loved and secure.
